Aug 14. Novatek posted a 70% rise in 2Q 2008 net profit under RAS to RUB 7.05 bn, the company said in a press release. Revenue advanced 42% to RUB 21.53 bn, including a 40.3% rise in revenue form oil and gas sales to RUB 20.41 bn, a 41% increase in revenue from polymer products and insulation tape sales to RUB 580 mn. As regards aggregate revenue from oil and gas sales, gas revenue climbed 26.4% to RUB 10.74 bn and stable gas condensate revenue was up 39.1% to RUB 6.52 bn. EBITDA increased 46.5% to RUB 10.34 bn and EBIT rose 50% to RUB 9.33 bn.
