Aug 13. Gazprom's subsidiary is eyeing construction of the Adler TPP. According to materials from state corporation Olympstroy, Gazoenergeticheskaya Kompaniya applied for a tender to select an investor for a power plant. Since the gas monopoly's subsidiary was the only bidder, the tender for the lot "Construction of the Adler TPP" was declared null and void. Gazoenergeticheskaya Kompaniya is one of the main utility subsidiaries of Gazprom. A 10.5% stake in UES consolidated by the concern was listed on the balance sheet of this company. It was also supposed to participate on behalf of Gazprom in the abortive transaction to merge utilities and coal assets with SUEK.
